After the previous interruption, users would continue to attempt to retrieve a cleaner image of the QR code on the shirt, though none were scannable. They would even go as far as to attempt and piece together existing imagery to try and piece the code together themselves.

..Though in retrospect, it seemed nobody had thought to just search "https://psychowars.com" for a bit, which ultimately ended up being the way it was revealed. A user on Reddit seemed to have retrieved a usable QR code on the same day though, [reddit link.]
As seen in the comments, the individuals to wear these shirts at the event would interview people at random and provide them with one of their own if they participated. I have another example of someone who recalled this much later in the MG Reddit as well:

Psychowars, as it turned out, appeared to be this right-wing conspiracy website and a sort of parody on Infowars. Upon closer inspection, it seemed that they were also covering Piper due to the fallout of what was revealed, using the information to further slander Machine Girl, painting them "willing accomplices" instead of a wronged party.
It did read as suspicious that MG would sponsor for Piper twice now, but as of this time it was completely up to speculation.
